Here we are inside the water treatment plant of the CIRS building. As you can see, it is a glass structure on the corner of the building. Very visible from the street. This was on purpose, to remind people that when you flush, it doesn’t just disappear. Something has to happen to it. And this wastewater is actually a resource.

About

Hi, we are the environmental sustainability project at the University of Oslo, Norway. Right now we are on a road trip in the US and Canada to attend the ISCN and CHESC conferences and to learn from the universities along the west coast: UBC, PSU, UO, UC Davis, Stanford and Berkeley. This is the place to keep up to date on what we see, think and learn while we're here.

Feel free to visit/follow our blog for more info on what we do back home.
