Here we where back at UBC for day two of the visit. This day was mostly focused on waste management and safety. Here: regulatory requirements for tracking radioisotopes. Yep, universites can be dangerous places.
Mr. Anderson knows that sustainability is about more than the environment.
Not only does UBC have their own student garden, of course they do. They even have their own farmers market! That garden must be quite big. Unfortunately we didn’t get to see it, as it was little outside of the campus center.
Remember these from the UPS campus? Seems like UBC had the same bright idea.

NIt’s so much easier to find vegetarian food in Vancouver than in Oslo. Even the hot dog stands have a veggiedog option.
All the dotted, green lines indicate roads that are especially good for biking. Like the ones I’ve just posted some photos from.
One more self powered transportation method than I’m used to. Walk to the left, bike in the middle, and then of course we need a just as big lane for rollerblading to the right.
